Preschool education

The municipality arranges one year of preschool education at the municipality’s daycare centre. Preschool education is free and amounts to 700 hours of education per academic year. The activities follow the preschool curriculum and are arranged for four hours a day.

In preschool education, activities are planned in advance and the children are taught and cared for by qualified members of staff.

Preschool education is based on the Ministry of Education’s given foundations and on the municipality’s established preschool plan. Korsholm’s preschool plan is the base for all the preschool plans belonging to the municipality.
