You can follow the planning process in our municipality by
- reading the planning overview, which is published annually
- familiarising yourself with current plans, see the planning website
- following the announcements published in the Vasabladet and Ilkka-Pohjalainen newspapers
The planning process is divided into three main phases
Participation and assessment plan, the draft plan phase and the plan proposal phase. (in Swedish and Finnish)
You can influence the planning byingen genom att
- contacting the planning department
- submitting an opinion
- submitting a comment
- seeking an amendment, submitting a protest
Opinions
An interested party has the opportunity to express their opinion on a submitted plan. The opinion can be submitted regarding the participation and assessment plan as well as the draft plan. You can use a ready-made opinion form or submit a freely formulated letter. The opinion is sent to Korsholm Municipality, Planning Department, Centrumvägen 4, 65610 KORSHOLM or by e-mail to planlaggning@korsholm.fi
Comments
During the planning proposal phase, stakeholders have the opportunity to submit written comments against the proposal. The municipality sends its response to those who have given their contact details.

Applying for planning amendments, protests
In planning matters, you can apply for an amendment through a municipal appeal, which is submitted to the Vaasa Administrative Court (VAC) within 30 days of the municipal council approving the plan. Vaasa Administrative Court PO Box 204, 65101 VAASA.
Anyone who has lodged a municipal appeal may, if they have received a negative answer, submit an appeal with the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC). Supreme Administrative Court PO Box 180, 00131 HELSINKI
