Korsholm (Mustasaari) has a broad and vibrant business community where independent entrepreneurship has long traditions. It is family businesses, generally small and medium-sized enterprises, that form the powerhouse of entrepreneurship in the region. At present, there are over a thousand registered companies having Korsholm as their domicile.

The municipality of Korsholm strives to offer good conditions for entrepreneurship, e.g. through a good supply of business and industrial plots at planned business parks in different parts of the municipality.

The goal of the municipality’s business policy is that companies in Korsholm and the surrounding region should have good conditions for profitability, growth and specialisation. The emphasis is on good service and development of the municipality’s business parks. The municipality’s business policy is planned and implemented in close collaboration with the Vaasa Region Development Company (VASEK) and the companies in the Korsholm and Vaasa region.

In Korsholm, every company, regardless of size, is important. The municipality wants to promote new entrepreneurship and is happy to help find the place of business that best meets the company’s needs
