Pool rules

At the pool, you always have the main responsibility for yourself and your family members. Lifeguard supervision does not reduce the pool users’ responsibility as it is, above all, a preventive measure.

General information

  • The pool admission fee includes 2 hours of swimming. By paying the fee, you agree to follow the pool rules.
  • Leave your own toys at home. There are toys at the pool you may use.
  • Follow the rules and regulations visible in the pool area and the changing rooms as well as the instructions given by the staff.
  • Try to avoid making unnecessary noise and yelling in the pool area.
  • Be considerate and respectful towards other swimmers.
  • When leaving the pool, please return the wristband and any rented equipment to the cashier.
  • Those under the influence of alcohol and intoxicating substances are refused entrance to the pool. Being drunk as well as the possession and use of intoxicants and tobacco products are strictly forbidden on the pool premises.
  • Photographing and filming are not permitted on the pool premises.

Safety rules

  • Move with care and consideration, because there is a risk of slipping on wet surfaces.
  • Long dives are strictly forbidden unless authorized by the lifeguard.
  • The lanes are to be used only for the activity defined in the signs by the pool.
  • Diving is only permitted in the deep end of the pool as indicated in the signs.
  • Persons with high temperature, inflammation of eyes, ears or skin, open or infected sores or suffering from stomach disease or urinary tract infection are not permitted to use the pool.
  • If you have a health condition that can pose a hazard to your health during your pool visit, please inform the lifeguard of the condition when you enter the pool area.
  • If you notice any deficiencies or deviations regarding the pool equipment, feces on the premises or inappropriate behavior, please contact the pool staff immediately.

  • Only proper swimwear is allowed in the pool area.
  • Swim shorts are permitted.
  • Sports shorts or other types of shorts are not permitted.
  • The use of underwear under swimwear is prohibited.
  • Prices for renting swimwear are listed in the price information.

Hygiene regulations

  • Wash yourself thoroughly without swimwear before entering the sauna or the pool area.
  • Wet your hair before swimming.
  • Wash off all make-up, perfume and hair products.
  • Long hair must be tied up.
  • Babies and toddlers must wear a swim diaper. You can buy one at the cashiers’ desk.
  • Leave your swimwear outside the sauna to avoid negative health effects caused by chlorine.
  • In the sauna, you must always use a seat cover. If you bring your own seat cover, it must be clean and washed.
  • It is not permitted to use swimwear as seat cover in the sauna.
  • Persons with a patch or a strap that indicates the right to wear a bathing suit in the sauna are permitted to do so (e.g. breast cancer and colostomy patients).
  • Shaving body hair, dying or cutting hair, as well as nail and feet care are not permitted.
  • The staff may take measures against any activity that does not comply with the hygiene regulations.
  • Parents and persons in charge of others must note the following:
  • During the whole of the pool visit, you are responsible for the safety and proper behavior of the persons with whom you arrived at the pool.
  • Children under the age of 10 and persons who cannot swim must always be accompanied by a person over the age of 18 who can swim.
  • Never leave a child who cannot swim alone in any of the pools.

A person that violates these rules or does not follow the instructions or orders given by the staff may be ordered to leave the swimming pool and no compensation will be paid. The staff may refuse entry in case a person shows or has previously shown inappropriate behavior. The Korsholm Swimming Pool is not liable to pay compensation should your visit to the pool be disrupted or interrupted due to a technical error, weather phenomena, hygiene-related reason or safety issue.
