Employment services
TE services will become part of the services of the municipality of Korsholm starting 1 January 2025.
Starting 1 January 2025, the TE Offices (State Employment and Economic Development Offices) will be abolished, and their services will be transferred to municipalities. At the same time, the term ‘employment services’ will replace ‘TE services’. Employment services will become part of the municipality of Korsholm’s basic services, such as early childhood education and care.
What does this mean for current clients?
If you are already a client of the TE Office, you do not need to do anything, even if the service provider changes at the turn of the year. Your services will continue seamlessly. You will be able to use Job Market Finland (Työmarkkinatori) online services also in the future.

What are employment services?
Employment services provide advice and guidance on job search, recruitment and skills development for both individuals and businesses. With the reform of employment services and their transfer to municipalities, they will be more accessible to you and will help you find employment or workers effectively, using a wider range of methods.
In 2025, municipalities will also take over responsibility for promoting the integration of the integration clients of TE Offices. This change will enhance the employment of immigrants and clarify the responsibilities of the parties involved.
We will organize employment services in cooperation with the Ostrobothnia Employment Area, which includes the municipalities of Kaskinen, Korsnäs, Laihia, Maalahti, Mustasaari, Närpiö, Uusikaarlepyy, Vaasa, and Vöyri. The City of Vaasa is the municipality responsible for coordinating the Employment Area.
Location of Employment Offices
In Vaasa, Employment Services will remain at the current TE Office located in the Palosaari state office building, Wolffintie 35. You don’t need an appointment.
Starting from 1 January 2025, a prior appointment will be required to access services in person in Mustasaari, Keskustie 4, Sepänkylä.
Phone numbers will be updated at the beginning of the year
The Ostrobothnia Employment Services’ phone service for individual and business clients will begin on 1 January 2025 with new phone numbers. The new service number for individual clients is 06 325 4400, and 06 325 4500 for business clients.
