Plots at Fågelberget for the circular economy
The municipality of Korsholm (Mustasaari) has planned 60 industrial plots on the new part of Fågelberget (Lintuvuori). At this stage, eleven plots are reserved for companies with activities in the circular economy or similar. The reserved area is closest to Stormossen and Westenergy, in order to create the right conditions for physical collaboration and a natural flow of materials. The plots are also the largest in the area.
Companies working in the circular economy sector will be referred to the new part closest to Stormossen and the intention is that the new part of Fågelberget will become a test area for advanced environmental technology where raw material logistics already exist from before. There is also plenty of room for business expansion in the future.
Fågelberget and Stormossen are strategically located; There are opportunities to use the Port of Vaasa for the transportation of raw materials and finished goods, both airports and railways are only a relatively short distance away and road connections in all directions are good. The distance from the area is also not far to the region’s Nordic Logistic Center Vaasa.
